If however you are reading this part first, let me give the official warning as stated in the header of the other text:

In the past months, I got the honor of being tagged by =070410 and ~BunsY. And no, I am not being ironic about it being an “honor”: I actually did and do appreciate it very much because it wasn’t a tag like “now, you: suffer!”, but more like “it would be nice to know something more about you!”. And those are things not to be taken lightly!

And as my only journal entry has turned into a fossil that not even the most experienced palentologist would recognize nowadays what to make out of it (there are some neat journals on the other account however: the one about the 2004 Boston Red Sox and the one about everything middle about the south journal!), i thought it’d be great to update it with ten things you probably didn’t know about me. Wasn’t it 20 you’ll say? Well... the first ten are in the previous link, of the other account! And if you didn’t know i had another account... now you know and that doesn't count as one of the ten!

11. I’m an avid traveller. Whenever I get back home, all I can think of is when I am going out again. Destination is not as important (although there are some things I do want to see before I leave this earth) as the idea of having a desire to go see that new place! Yes, I don’t know Kaiserslautern that well: that is why it is good to live in a place where there is not much to see!

12. My favorite number is 13. I am very superstitious in a certain way (what way? Take a look at what point I put under entry 13!!). But back to Nr. 13: it has always brought me luck! Highest bowling score in that lane, final grade at my high school mathematics oral test (13 was very good), done on October 13th, amongst a group of 13 students and that was the 13th year of our school system. That, and most of the 13th of every month bring always something good! Oh, and I love seeing black cats out on the street too!!

13. I’m still looking for the first girlfriend. The One. Who will have to make it to a level as in point 10. Tough? The Beatles put it best: All you need is love.

14. I have tended to look at things as either black or white. But the more I try to prove that, I realize that in fact, there are a lot of gray tones in between.

15. As was evident on the first ten points, I study mathematics. And, I kind of like to sound mysterious and for me, there is no better way than to make simple things complicated! Right now I am working on my PhD though and that is quite specialized (so, like somebody said: i know a lot about very little) and is in Optimization about scheduling surgeries in hospitals.

16. I don’t like fuss, I like things simple. For example when I graduated high school, everybody threw huge parties just for having graduated high school and/or were visibly happy about it. The same for when they graduated college in Guatemala. Here in Germany, it wasn’t parties, but a huge sigh of relief and happiness for having submitted the Masters thesis. Not me, in neither of these three cases. And I am thinking that if all goes well, such will be the case for me when in 2008 (knock on wood) I’ll submit my PhD thesis. However, when it comes to photography, I really crave feedbacks, well done’s, critique, ! I guess I am more proud of photography!

17. I’m a shoe analyst. What does that mean? Tell me what kind of footwear you use and I’ll tell you who you are! I guess that is another thing of which I am more proud of! There are so many things you can tell about a person by the way of the footwear they use, and no: i did not steal such a line from Forrest Gump.

18. I like Star Wars and I’m proud of it. Not in the “I’m crazy about Star Wars” kind of wacko, but in the “There is really a lot about life” in the story. After reading the books and understanding the thought process behind it, I am more positive about it than before. The only problem is that I guess i kind of do have a lot in common with Anakin Skywalker.

19. Oh, I almost forgot: i play online board games a lot!! Backgammon, Battleboats, Othello, Checkers. So if you also like that, let me know and I can tell you a great site!

And finally 20. I guess that 19. has a lot to do with my competitive nature. I love to win. It thrives me into doing things the best that I can. I love to fiddle with stats about wins and losses. All signs of a Taurus: something I don’t believe in (Astrology), but it is funny to see how people born in the month of may, especially close to the 18th, are kind of stubborn, want to always win, want to always be right or have things done their way, but are also incredibly noble, loyal, caring.
